Ray was baptized on Sunday, June 2nd!"For Nothing Will Be Impossible with God" – Luke 1:37 We are so grateful to God for answering our prayers after 31 long years. Before my dad's heart surgery, he and my mom were studying the Bible with Dennis, Ivver, Dan, and me. Unfortunately, after the surgery, my dad did not recover fully and suffered four strokes, leaving him non-verbal. However, he can nod, squeeze his hands, and say yes or no.
Despite these challenges, when my mom and I asked my dad if he wanted to continue studying the Bible, he put his thumbs up. Noel and Dan immediately began studying with him. After many days of diligent study, my dad expressed his desire to get baptized. He realized his need for forgiveness and wanted to commit his life to God. Witnessing my dad's baptism was the happiest moment of our family's lives. Despite a life filled with hardships, the love of God and the support from our brothers in Christ have brought us immense joy. At 71 years old, my dad made Jesus his Lord, and for that, we are eternally grateful. - Gin Ivy, Tri-Valley Fellowship Group

Our 2024 Missions Contribution Is Off To A Great StartWho are the churches we are donating to this year? This year our Fellowship has decided to focus on five sister churches to donate to for our 2024 Missions Contribution. Those churches are, our sister churches in Angola, Bangkok Thailand, Philippines, RevivEE (Eastern Europe) and Uruguay. If you were at our last few Midweeks, you may have heard a brief overview of each church and how we are relationally connected to them. Just in case you missed the information and are interested, here is a brief summary of each fellowship. Angola Relationship: James and Rebecca McPherson are members of the Luanda Church in Angola and the parents of Madison, who is graduating from Stanford. Summary of Need: Currently, there is only one main church in Angola, and plans are underway to plant two more, which are currently just small groups. Bangkok Relationship: Chet and Kit Umaguing, church leaders. Summary of Need: The Umaguings are two years into their 5-year commitment to serve on the mission field in Thailand. The church has the vision to start a campus ministry (hire four summer interns now and four one-year challenge interns in the fall), start a HOPE program, and add a full-time staff position. Philippines Relationship: Danny and Girlie Cabadsan are church leaders in Cebu and the Regional Family Chair for the Asia Pacific Region. Summary of Need: Many of their regional churches have financial needs for building rentals, operating costs, supplies for Bible studies, minister salary support, travel for training, scholarships for Biblical training, funds for future plantings, and sending disciples to support and strengthen. RevivEE 5.0 Relationship: Shawn and Lena Wooten, missionaries in Eastern Europe. Summary of Need: The Wootens lead 20+ volunteer missionaries yearly to a different small Eastern European church. Their team, which is being assembled to go to Sophia, Bulgaria, is tasked with raising their support for the year within the next few weeks. They move to the target city to serve as full-time missionaries with the Wootens. A team will also be sent back to support Romania and Moldova. Uruguay Relationship: Julie Freschi and Therese Chalmers, Bay Area disciples. Summary of Need: Therese and Julie volunteered to move and help revive the church planting in Uruguay. They want to start a sister's household to be used as a place to host Bible discussion groups, hospitality events, and fellowship groups. The cost of rental housing is very expensive in Montevideo. If you want to participate and donate, please go to our website, go to the Give page, and click on the drop-down menu where it says General Fund. There, you will see all five churches listed, and you can select which church you want to give to, and you will also see a "Missions-General" account. This Missions-General account is for those of us who may not have a preference and want to donate. All the funds in the Missions-General account will be distributed amongst one or more of the five sister churches selected this year. We look forward to seeing how God will move in this Missions Contribution. We hope that all of us will join in prayer this month for God to move powerfully and help us raise money for these sister churches. We also pray that our brothers and sisters worldwide feel the love of God and the love of their families around the world, who have them in our prayers. For more infomation visit:

Families Of Vision Monthly MeetingA faith-based family support group for families caring for people with mental heath conditions. - Sunday, June 16, 2024 When someone you love is diagnosed with mental health condition, it is a traumatic experience. You are not alone! We have walked in your shoes and understand what you are going through. We believe that in addition to education and support, we need FAITH to strengthen us in this journey. We meet on the Third Sunday of the month between 1:30 - 2:30 pm over Zoom. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV Our group is called “Families of Vision” because we are families who believe in having a “Vision of Hope” for our loved ones. Building Godly families is not an easy in today’s world, and when our loved ones are diagnosed with mental health conditions, the challenges increase ten-fold. This can lead to discouragement and hopelessness. However, there is Hope in God! In Psalm 127, the Bible says that God builds our families and He has a plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11-13, Ephesians 2:10). Faith from scriptures give us hope, comfort and guidance we need to support our loved ones to recovery. By supporting each other in this journey, we will endure and continue to hold on to a “Vision of Hope” for our loved ones. “Families of Vision” is facilitated by NAMI-trained parents and follows the NAMI FaithNet model for the support group. Along with Bible scriptures, we use NAMI’s Principles of Support to guide our discussions. We truly believe that when we are comforted by God, we will be able to comfort others. Please click on the button below to register for the event. For additional information our website is https://familiesofvision.com/
