HOPE Scouts Troop 75 Is HERE!!
The SF Bay Fellowship now has our own HOPE worldwide Scouts Troop!! HOPE Scouts is a nationwide program where children can experience the joy of service through volunteering at community events. Our motto is "Never Too Young To Serve." The program is family driven, and each Scout volunteers with an adult in their family group. Troop 75's first event will be on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 12 PM in San Jose! We will work with Downtown Streets Team and gather along the Guadalupe River near Coleman Avenue and Autumn Street to clean up our local streets. Dress comfortably with the weather forecast in mind - gloves are recommended. We will provide trash pickers and garbage bags. Lunch will be provided, and each child will receive a shoulder bag and volunteer shirt. First-time adult volunteers will also receive a volunteer shirt. To participate in our first event for Troop 75, please remember to register both your child and an accompanying parent to join by clicking the link below. If this is your first time signing up with HOPE worldwide Bay Area, create your profile and register. Then log out and create a new profile for your child. After that, you can use your email; just make a unique username for your Scout. We hope to see you and your kiddos there! April 22 Is Earth Day - HOPE worldwide Bay Area EventsCaring for our world in honor of God - Saturday, April 22, 2023 Genesis 1: 28-31 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the Earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole Earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the Earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. Every year in April, during National Earth Month, there is a day dedicated to the Earth. But every day, God has entrusted the Earth to US! So this is a good time of year to stop and reflect on what you are doing to take care of what has been entrusted to us. Please stop and think of our environment spiritually and take responsibility for where it is. Right now, our Earth is dying, animals are going extinct, habitats are being destroyed, pollution is taking over, oceans are dying, and our vegetation has diseases and pesticides which directly impact our health. Make this year count and get involved in many opportunities to help around the Bay. Need help to figure out where to get started? No problem! HOPE worldwide has many volunteering options around the Bay on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Earth Day is a perfect opportunity to join our local community to make the Bay Area a better place to live. We will be partnering with Downtown Streets Team to beautify our local communities. Teams will meet in Oakland, San Jose, and Redwood City. If you can't make it out to one of the HOPE events, there are many, many things you can do around the Bay to take better care of our Earth. So please take time this year to invest in this topic spiritually and make some changes to help protect this beautiful planet God has made. For more infomation visit:
