Families Of Vision Monthly MeetingA faith-based family support group for families caring for people with mental heath conditions. - Sunday, April 21, 2024 When someone you love is diagnosed with mental health condition, it is a traumatic experience. You are not alone! We have walked in your shoes and understand what you are going through. We believe that in addition to education and support, we need FAITH to strengthen us in this journey. We meet on the Third Sunday of the month between 1:30 - 2:30 pm over Zoom. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV Our group is called “Families of Vision” because we are families who believe in having a “Vision of Hope” for our loved ones. Building Godly families is not an easy in today’s world, and when our loved ones are diagnosed with mental health conditions, the challenges increase ten-fold. This can lead to discouragement and hopelessness. However, there is Hope in God! In Psalm 127, the Bible says that God builds our families and He has a plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11-13, Ephesians 2:10). Faith from scriptures give us hope, comfort and guidance we need to support our loved ones to recovery. By supporting each other in this journey, we will endure and continue to hold on to a “Vision of Hope” for our loved ones. “Families of Vision” is facilitated by NAMI-trained parents and follows the NAMI FaithNet model for the support group. Along with Bible scriptures, we use NAMI’s Principles of Support to guide our discussions. We truly believe that when we are comforted by God, we will be able to comfort others. Jesus Is The Miracle - Keydogo Video Series
(Article from DisciplesToday.com) Keydogo is a small video team in the International Church of Christ (ICOC) dedicated to bringing you videos of quality Christian content. Keydogo is launching a new series of videos called “Jesus is the Miracle” to celebrate the miracles God is doing throughout our family of churches, especially for the materially poor. Disciples of Jesus support hundreds of charities; some have even started their own. God is using all of these efforts to touch many lives. In this first edition, we journey to El Salvador, Haiti, and India to hear testimonials from our brothers and sisters who have been aided by an ICOC charity, Especially The Family. Click HERE to see the current needs on Especially the Family. 100% of the money donated goes directly to the person you choose to help. This is made possible by the selflessness and love of the coordinators and volunteers at Especially the Family who work without pay to ensure every donation reaches those in need. If you want to see the short video that Keydogo put out highlighting Especially the Family, please click the button below. For more infomation visit:
