Midweek Class - Women's Book Club

Come and join our Women's Midweek Book Club

We will meet every other Wednesday 7:30pm both in-person and on Zoom.

The class limited to twenty women.

Our book will be "The Cry of the Soul - How our emotions reveal our deepest questions about God" by Dr Dan Allender and Dr Tremper Longman III - The book will be provided.

In the introduction of The Cry of the Soul it reads, "All emotions, including the darker ones, give us a glimpse of the character of God. This is the heart of our book. Far more important than the way in which emotions reveal the movement of the heart is the way in which our most difficult emotions - anger, fear, jealousy, despair, contempt and shame - uniquely reveal something about the heart of God..." This book is a deep study into some of the Psalms to learn how the psalmists cried out with their own questions for and reflections on the character of God. We will discuss approximately two chapters each class session. My hope is that we will all gain a deeper, more intimate and more faithful view of God and His powerful workings in our broken world.
